Sometimes you just gotta have something to dip your raw veggies in. Sometimes the only thing that sounds good is a creamy dressing, like ranch or caesar. Luckily, there’s a more health conscious way of satisfying this craving than filling your body with bottled saturated fats and preservatives – and it’s called Creamy Avocado Dip.
The important components of this dip are mashed avocado and Greek yogurt. The seasonings are mostly up to preference, and can really make the dip your own unique concoction for a new picnic go-to.
It’s a gooood dip when paired with broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower. However, I can conceivably see a future of sandwich spread, homemade tortilla chip dip, or perhaps even salad dressing. I know, this is getting crazy.
Creamy Avocado Dip
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 tsp lemon juice
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp chives
2 tsp Italian seasoning (or to taste)
Salt to taste
Other seasonings to try: cumin, sage, rosemary, dill
Mash avocado. Mix in with Greek yogurt. Add lemon and seasonings, and mix well. ENJOY.
